Cherry Creek Area of DenverCherry Creek Neighborhood InformationCherry Creek is named after the creek that flows through the city of Denver. The streets bordering the neighborhood are University Blvd., Colorado, 6th Ave. and Alameda. The neighborhood is easily accessible through four major streets, making it a central location for those all over the city. Cherry Creek HighlightsCherry Creek is known for its dining, nightlife, shopping and upscale residential areas. The upscale Cherry Creek Mall brings shoppers from all over the city, and is a Mecca for those visiting from out of town. Cherry Creek North, an outdoor shopping district just north of the mall, features the JW Marriott hotel and 16 city-blocks of 320 luxurious boutiques, upscale galleries, salons/spas, and some of the best restaurants in Denver. The neighborhood hosts a number of annual events, including the Cherry Creek Arts Festival every 4th of July weekend, the Cherry Creek Sneak 5K, a local Farmer's Market that, and a number of other community activities that attract hundreds, if not thousands to the area. The Cherry Creek bike path is a 22-mile trail extending along the creek from Downtown Denver to east of Colorado Blvd., and all the way to Cherry Creek Reservoir, and is enjoyed by hundreds daily to get to and from Downtown, or for leisure and exercise. Cherry Creek Real EstateThe real estate market in Cherry Creek is one of the most sought after in the Denver area due in part to the wide range of home styles to choose from, proximity to shopping, the beautiful tree-lined streets and the vast number of social events that take place day to day. Price points range from $400,000-$1.5 million, with some of the larger and more prestigious houses creeping up to the mid-$3 million mark. The real estate market is divided into Cherry Creek North and South. Cherry Creek North features older style bungalows and traditional Denver squares mixed with newer duplexes, townhomes, and condominiums. Cherry Creek South is mostly townhomes, row homes and condominiums.
