Five Points Neighborhood in DenverFive Points Neighborhood InformationFive Points is located northeast of Downtown Denver, getting its name from four major streets, Welton, 27th & 26th Ave., and Washington crossing at the same intersection creating five points. Five Points holds an insurmountable amount of history in its streets dating back to 1860, making it one of the oldest neighborhoods in Denver. Today, Five Points celebrates its history through the local Black American West Museum and Heritage Center, Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library, and the many local African-American churches and businesses. Five Points brings over 100,000 people to Denver for the Juneteenth Festival every year, which travels from Manual High School down Welton St., featuring vendors and street performers accumulating at the popular intersection of Five Points. The Five Points Jazz festival is another popular event celebrating jazz music, great food and the neighborhood. Five Points Real EstateThe Real Estate market in Five Points is up and coming. The neighborhood is home to multiple RTD light rail stops, providing easy transportation and access to Downtown for work or play. Many of the historical Victorian and classic Denver Square homes in the area have recently been renovated, helping to increase single home values, and the addition of new modern condominium and multi-housing projects has attracted those buyers who want to be close to the city without having to pay Downtown prices.
