Hilltop Neighborhood Information
Hilltop, the neighborhood located between Colorado Blvd., Holly, 6th Ave. and Alameda is considered to be one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in Denver. The area is surrounded by other prestigious neighborhoods, sharing its borders with Cherry Creek, Mayfair, and Crestmoor Park. Hilltop got its name because it sits at a higher elevation than its surrounding neighbors, allowing for great views of the city and mountains. At the center of Hilltop lies the Cranmer Park, which boasts views of the Front Range and is known for the large sundial that sits at its center.
Hilltop Highlights
Because of the close proximity to Cherry Creek, residents of Hilltop have the option to walk or drive to many boutiques, restaurants, bars and nearby galleries. One of the most popular sites in Hilltop is the Cranmer Mansion, which sits at the highest point of Hilltop and is adjacent to the park. George Cranmer lived in the Cranmer Mansion and was the park manager during the 1920's and 1930's. Cranmer was also the developer of the Red Rocks Amphitheater and Winter Park Ski Resort. Another popular area park is Robinson Park, which has a huge hill that caters to children for sledding during the winter months.

The neighborhood of Hilltop was developed during the 40's and 50's and features many architectural styles popular during this time. There are a number of English Tudors, ranches and mansions, with a few newer, more contemporary homes scattered throughout the area. Price points range $400,000 to $3 million. Hilltop has maintained its value and most likely will continue to do so due to the beauty and charm of the neighborhood, its mature landscaping, high-end architecture, and the number of new builds and renovations happening today.
